Where will you live after getting married? These will affect your marriage, both emotionally and financially. Staying with the in-laws saves money, but also cuts into your privacy. On the other hand, getting your own place gives you freedom, but adds to your expenses.

What will be your sources of income? Will both you and your partner continue working after getting married, or will one of you give up his or her career? Usually, the one with greater economic power in the relationship also wields greater emotional power. Furthermore, there are added complications when the female has greater earning power. It's best to discuss all these before making making any major decisions.

How much debt are both of you bringing into the marriage? When you get married, your partner's obligations become your own (unless there's a prenuptial agreement). So if your partner has a large debt, should you still marry him? This is something only you can decide.

How soon do you plan to have children? Children will be a huge impact on your lives. You'll have less time together, and your expenses will go up. Before having children, make sure both of you are emotionally and financially prepared.
